Holiday French Toast
1 ½ C. Brown Sugar
12 T. Melted Butter
8 Eggs
1 ½ C. Milk
1 t. Vanilla
1 Loaf of Challah Bread, cut into 1-inch slices
6 t. Cinnamon
4 Granny Smith Apples, peeled and sliced
½ C. Dried Cranberries
1 C. Chopped Pecans
Combine brown sugar, butter and cinnamon in a 9x11-inch dish. Add apples, cranberries and pecans. Toss well to coat. Spread mixture evenly over bottom of dish; arrange bread on top. Mix eggs, milk, vanilla and 1 tsp. cinnamon and pour over bread; soaking completely. Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight (3-12 Hours).
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake for 45 minutes covered; uncover and bake for an additional five minutes. DO NOT place cold baking dish in hot oven. Remove from oven and let stand for five minutes.
