1 stick Butter
1 cup Heavy Cream
1 2/3 cup Parmesan Cheese*, grated
Salt and Pepper, to taste
Cook pasta according to directions. In a large skillet, melt butter and combine with cream. Season with salt and pepper. Melt cheese into butter and cream. (Today, I used garlic salt, pepper and a couple of dashes of cayenne for heat). Pour hot cheese mix into a large serving dish.
Drain pasta and place in the serving dish. Toss to coat noodles. Serve with roasted chicken for Chicken Alfredo. Or add peas and sliced mushrooms for Fettuccine Alfredo, if that's your sort of thing.
*The local Wal-mart (don't judge, it's the closest store around) did not carry fresh Parmesan cheese. So I used a bag of Parmesan mix which included Parmesan, Fontina, Asiago and Romano cheese. It was delish!
