Goodbye Ol' Blue
Thursday night we traded in Aaron's car for a family-friendly vehicle. We brought home a 'new-to-us' 2008 Honda Pilot.

Home for the Holidays
Visited Gramma up north over the weekend. (Both of Aaron's parents hail from Michigan.) Had Thanksgiving dinner with Aaron's side of the family. It was nice, but a long way to travel. We stayed overnight because 7 hours in the car is too much in one day!

Holiday Traditions, continued
We did not get the tree up on Black Friday. I was not feeling well and had to pack for our trip up North. We're shooting for December 1, unless an offer for a real tree comes through.
Thanksgiving
Ellie's first Thanksgiving dinner has come and gone. Sadly, I was too busy to remember to snap a few photos. She joined us at the dinner table and feasted on Golden Winter Soup and Mashed Potatoes with Gravy.
We're packing up tonight because we're headed up North for the weekend. We'll share Thanksgiving with Aaron's Gramma and family on Saturday and will return home on Sunday. It's our first big car ride, so wish us luck!
Chili Walk & Pumpkin Patch
Went to Oak Openings today for the Annual Chili Walk. Had a great time and good food. Afterwards we stopped by Johnston's Fruit Farm and bought pumpkins. Ellie loves her baby pumpkin - it's just her size!

Fall Break
Today I cleaned the office while Aaron was at work. When he got home, we headed out to dinner at TGIFriday's. It's been a while since we've dined out together. Ran a few errands and now we're home.
Tomorrow, we're heading up to the lake house and outlet malls. I'm taking a meal to my parents who are already at the lake - Loaded Baked Potato Soup, biscuits, salad and pumpkin pie. I'm looking forward to it!
Monday and Tuesday I have off from school for Fall Break. I have some homework, housework and painting to finish up.

Lovely Night
Tonight, Aaron and I ventured out to Toledo with Bebe Ellie in tow. We had dinner out at TGIFriday's and then bought a new convertible car seat at Babies R Us. The ride home was a bit rough - Bebe Ellie was tired and it was understandable since it was her bedtime. But I was glad to enjoy a night out.
Tomorrow we're heading out to the lake house and doing some shopping at the outlet mall. I have Monday and Tuesday off for Fall Break. Have some homework, housework and painting to finish up.
Fulton County Fair
Ellie visited the Fulton County Fair with Aunt Lindsay, Uncle Aaron and friends Melanie, Josh, Madelyn and Carter.

All tuckered out. Zzzzz...
Vacation
We're packing our bags and heading North this week. We'll be spending time with family up in Michigan. The dogs are going to the kennel tomorrow and we're leaving shortly after that. Be home sometime on Friday/Saturday.

Friday & Saturday Only
I'm having a Garage Sale this weekend. Lot's of big items that I hope to sell. I have a bunch of furniture, some kitchen stuff - glasses and dishes, place mats, decorative pillows, etc. I'm also going to bake a little tonight so I have cupcakes and lemonade to sell. Hoping to make some cash. I originally wanted to sell all of our kitchen dishes and buy a nice, beautiful white set but ... for now, I'm going to save whatever I make and put it towards our trip to France next summer!
Our friends, James and Adeline are getting married twice next year!! Here in the States in April and then in France in July. We're so excited to have such great friends and this travel opportunity. I've never traveled outside of the US before, so this sure will be a treat.
If you've traveled to France/Europe before, please share in the comments. I'm anxious to know where to go, what to see and do.

Amish Country
Weekend
We're going away on Sunday to the Amish Country. Mom and Dad made friends when I was just a wee one, and they've remained in contact. I need to bake two desserts to take to Sunday Dinner. I think I'll take a Mississippi Mud Cake, but I'm not sure what else to take. Feel free to leave suggestions in the comments...and I'll post recipes and pictures this weekend.
Away
Sorry I haven't been around. Last Monday we received tragic news that our Uncle D. had been in a car accident and passed away. Tuesday the phone call revealed that he had had a heart attack while driving, which caused the accident. Wednesday we packed and Thursday we traveled.
D's showing was Thursday night and the funeral and military service was Friday morning. We've all taken it hard. It's especially hard for Aaron who lost his dad 13 years ago. 3 Willman men have lost their lives to heart attacks, all before the age of 55.
Relocation
Snow is pretty, but not when your little Honda Civic gets stuck in it. Took me 50-minutes to get out of a student's driveway tonight. Bah humbug.
Did I mention I teach piano lessons. Yeah, I do. The kiddos are great, I wish there were more hours in the day. Hoping to pull off a Summer Workshop and do nine weeks of lessons plus a recital to finish off the summer. Last year, four of the eight students attended the recital. Hoping to make this an annual event.
Let it snow!!
So that I don't have to drive 40 miles to school in hazardous conditions.
BGSU cancelled classes till 1 pm.
BGSU cancelled classes till 5 pm.
Prof. cancelled 6 pm class.
*****************
I dug out the sidewalk today, then snowblowed the six-car driveway, showered, grocery shopped, did laundry and dishes, napped and made dinner. Way more productive than a regular school day.
-40*
It's forty below with the wind chill, and I can't get my car to start. I've missed three classes this week at BGSU and it's only the first week.
Updated to add :: Called AAA, they'll be here in 6 hours to jump my car and possibly tow.
Swing of Things
I started back to school yesterday. I suppose I wouldn't mind it so much if I didn't have to commute an hour. Going back five days a week this semester. So far, two of five classes require field hours. There just aren't enough hours in the day! This morning, I left at 6:30 am for an 8:30 class - I was so exhausted I barely could keep my eyes open.
Husband is no good at getting up in the morning. He likes to let his alarm go off forever, hit snooze a million times and stash the clock under the covers or pillows, etc. It is somewhat annoying, as I hop out of bed as soon as my clock goes off. I poke and prod, trying to get him up and out of bed, but it only makes him pissy. But let me tell you, waking up hours before I have to be up and then getting a cold shower doesn't do much for my cheery disposition.
Aaron's been up late every night and getting up early, lately. His first CPA exam is this Thursday. I hope this pays off and he passes. He feels pressured since two of the four new hires have passed all four sections ... on their first try.
